About this Event:

Join us for an open conversation about different types of loss and the importance of grieving in a healthy way. Learn about the stages of grief and how they apply not only to physical death, but a loss of any kind, including divorce, career shifts, relationship transitions, and traumatic experiences.

This workshop provides practical tools to help you live forward without guilt or fear of judgment. You’ll leave feeling supported, encouraged, and empowered to take your next steps in healing.

This workshop is for:
  • Any person that has experienced loss of any kind and has yet to confront it head on.
  • Any person that wants to help someone they care about.

Meet the Speaker

Tammy Dozier, originally from Kansas City, Missouri, has lived in Texas since 1996 and retired from the Irving Police Department in 2014. She earned biblical studies honors from Southern Bible Institute in 2016 and became a certified Grief and Loss Educator in 2022. Known as “The Grief Educator,” she served as Bereavement Pastor at Koinonia Christian Church (2018–2020) and has been a keynote speaker at national conventions.

Tammy is dedicated to teaching that grief extends beyond death to all forms of loss, creating safe spaces for individuals, groups, and organizations to process it. She provides guidance as a certified grief educator and coach, emphasizing that feeling grief is essential for healing. Drawing from personal experiences, including the loss of her mother and sister, she advocates for grief support as a necessity. Tammy hosts events, speaks nationally, and helps people navigate grief toward growth and renewed life.
