What to expect
This walk is designed to encourage each participant to slow down, relax and take in our surroundings. We will stroll about 1.5 miles on paved nature trails. Be sure to bring water and wear comfy clothes and shoes. Don’t forget sunscreen and insect repellent, if desired.
What is mindfulness
Mindfulness is simply the ability to be fully present in the moment. Practicing mindfulness can help reduce stress and anxiety and improve focus. Practicing mindfulness while walking can boost your mental and physical health.
Where to meet
Enter the park from the main entrance (Green Oaks and Margaret). When you reach the fork, keep straight (to the right). Follow the road to the last parking lot. We will meet in the open field. Come early to chat and stretch. We begin walking promptly at 10:00.
